FOOD CRAVE: Curry Shrimp & Spinach

curryshrimp1I love shrimp! Heck, I love seafood of any kind. So once in a while I have to satisfy my FOOD CRAVE with a seafood dish. Shrimp is usually a quick and inexpensive way to get my seafood crave fix. If you get a bag of frozen shrimp they can be defrosted in less than 30 minutes and prepared in about 20 minutes.


  • Shrimp (16-20 in a bag)
  • Fresh Spinach
  • 2 Tomatoes
  • Half of 1 large onion
  • 1 Teaspoon of black pepper
  • Virgin Olive Oil
  • 1 teaspoons of curry powder
  • 1 Teaspoons of salt
  • 1 Teaspoon of red pepper( for a little spice)
  • 1 Teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1 Teaspoon of paprika
  • 1/4 cup of water


  • Defrost frozen shrimp in lukewarm water.
  • Clean shrimp by deveining and pulling the shell off, or you can get them done already.
  • Season shrimp with, salt, black pepper,red pepper, paprika, garlic powder and curry powder.
  • Put shrimp into refrigerator while you prepare the rest of the meal. (The longer the shrimp sit in its spices the better)
  • Cut Onions into dice
  • Cut tomatoes into quarters.
  • Rinse spinach.
  • Get a non-stick pan very hot.
  • Pour virgin olive oil until the pan is totally covered.
  • Add onions to pan cook until sightly brown.
  • Add shrimp to pan.
  • Add tomatoes to pan.
  • Add Spinach to pan.
  • Add water
  • Stir all ingredients well.
  • Cook until shrimp is done and the spinach is cooked down.
